However, if talk generally then the brand is a bit late in the race but as Honda is one of the big brands or better say the leading brand of 2-wheeler in India, probably it will take over other electric scooter brands. So, the news of this epic launch started surfacing on the web when Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) MD and CEO Atsushi Ogata revealed the company’s EV roadmap.

Undoubtedly, it is one of the most anticipated scooters in the nation and in accordance with online reports, Honda’s first EV for India will be the electric version of its bestselling Activa scooter. Talking about the official reports, the CEO Atsushi Ogata in a statement said that the E-Activa will launch the next year 2024 at the same time which is roughly in the earlier days of January.

Some online sources have claimed that It will have a top speed of just 50 Kmph, which is totally much below the prevailing industry because the average scooter’s speed is recorded at around 80-100 Kmph.
Also, it has been observed that the brand is not in the mood to take many risks therefore they are testing the segment at their best to assure that everything is fine and smooth as well. The brand is also said to launch this next year because they are spending much time testing the scooter in every possible manner, which is quite mandatory for a brand like Honda because if the technology fails somehow, then it will leave a massive impact on its image. Although not much information is out so far on the E-scooter, Activa Electric will have a fixed battery setup, which will reduce the risk of incidents like a fire caused by mishandling, reportedly.
Another interesting thing about the upcoming Honda scooter is, probably the brand is not thinking to give tough competition to other competitors in the race but it seems like. Honda will not let Hero win the market because currently, Hero has its electric scooter called Hero Vida V1 in the market and if Honda launches its electric scooter then they have to ensure its electric vehicle’s roadmap.
