Toyota launches Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles (FFV-SHEV) project in India

The Japanese multinational automotive manufacturer Toyota recently came up with an innovation in the world of cars, where the brand unveiled its first-ever or better say pilot project segment named Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid. Well, heading ahead you will get to know about the specifications of this car and also why it is in trend as everyone is talking about it. Although, the Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid is already on sale in Brazil where the main fuel on which it is going to run is being used.

Mr. Gadkari illuminates the importance and the future of this technology saying India is totally dependent on natural fuel such as petrol. Hence, he opened up about the importance of using alternative fuel vehicles and also told that it will reduce the pollution level in the country. Well, if we talk about some of the major highlights of it then here we go.

According to the reports Brazil uses ethanol most therefore the company decided to bring their car into the country so that they would get the correct response from the people. However, Toyota has launched its Corolla Altis Hybrid which is a Flexi Fuel Strong Hybrid electric vehicle, but the bookings and other things will open soon. As it is going to be a pilot project of Toyota in India therefore it will take some time and some other approvals. Recently, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari unveiled the first look of the car where he was seen driving.

What Is Flex-Fuel?

After Toyota launched the Flex-fuel segment in India it created a buzz in the market among Indians because it is going to be a very new thing to be introduced. Therefore, everyone is searching for the meaning of Flex-fuel. So, the Flex-fuel feature allows a car to run on regular petrol and on pure ethanol as well. It works with the FCS (fuel composition sensor) and ECU which allows the engine to switch from regular fuel to ethanol. Although, the same feature has been seen previously in the lately launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder the latest feature is going to be a latest technology in India.

Well, recently an MOU (memorandum of understanding) was signed between Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and this contract is all about creating official relationships, companies, and organizations. After signing MOU, Toyota decides to bring its new futuristic car for the future of itself in the Indian market, and you must be in the swim that the Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid Is Flexi-Fuel Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicles (FFV-SHEV) which means that it will run on regular petrol alongside pure ethanol too. For the first look and test drive of the car, Toyota brought another running piece from Brazil as it is already running on the roads of the country.
