SKODA updated its Karoq SUV
- A new 8-inch digital display is fitted as standard to all the models.
- The Karoq range now consists of five engine options and three trim grades.
Skoda introduced several key specifications and trimmed updates to the Karoq following the introduction of a facelifted model earlier this year. Positioned between the Kodiak and the Kamig, the 2023 model year Karog gets new features and trim grades.
The most significant update is introducing the new 8-inch display that replaces analog dials across all the trim levels. The new display offers drivers the option of all three layouts: rev counter, tachometer, and digital, with ambient lightning color reflected in the side and display sections.
Skoda has also updated its range of choice packages. A new Travel Assist Package Plus, which includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, front assist with emergency braking, lane assist, and traffic jam assist, and a USB-C port for the rearview mirror, is now available on the Sport Line model for the first time. A safety package includes front and rear curtain side airbags and Crew Protect Assist, available for the first time.
The updated Karoq is now available with four engine options; two diesel and three petrol. The petrol range consists of a 1-liter TSI unit that develops 110bhp, a range-topping 2-litre TSI 190bhp DSG 4X4 engine, and a 1.5-liter TSI motor produces 150bhp. The diesel lineup features a 2-liter TDI with outputs of 116bhp and 150bhp. As with the petrol range, the advanced power unit can be ordered with a seven-speed DSG. The diesel engine can also be specified with four-wheel-drive on SE L and Sport Line trim levels.
