Since it came to know that natural resources are about to extinct so in this situation all the vehicle manufacturers have decided to bring e-vehicles. However, a bunch of companies has brought their electronic vehicles into the market for the betterment of the people and to keep an eye on the environment too. So far we have seen electronic scooters, followed by which companies bringing their e-rikshaws too, and now in the market, we have electronic buses. However, a pleasing number of e-buses are already on the road but it was only for a trial that how good or bad it is going to put an impact on the roads and the environment too.
Well, recently news came that claimed that the Minister of Heavy Industries said that the government planned to press over 3,000 more electric buses into service under the FAME-II scheme. As soon as it was stated by Mahendra Nath Pandey who is the Minister of Heavy Industries said that govt is planning to bring 3k+ buses onto the Indian road in the next 2 years number of people got happy, however, as usual, it happens that govt’s every idea first faces the criticism the same happened with this that some people are saying that the idea won’t work because it will consume more electricity and it will result in power-cut as well, so Govt will sooner do something or they would be planning to put something to save the consumption of electricity perhaps, therefore, they said that it will take around 2 upcoming years.
Mahendra Nath Pandey was speaking at an Industry 4.0 conference where he flagged off 175 new electric buses in two states. So, now you can take the idea that already we have the number of buses and the new figure is going to put a good impact. Although not every city in India is having electric buses Delhi, Mumbai and Gujrat, and UP are on the list, and it is assumed that there would be some more buses.
As you all must be in the swim that Pandey stated, around 3000 buses would be running on the roads and it all comes under the FAME-II scheme. Now, the FAME-II scheme has provision for subsidies for 7,000 e-buses. According to the sources and Pandey’s statement, it came to know that already roads have around 3k buses and soon we will see 3k more buses and it will easily touch the figure of 7000. Well, if we talk about the benefits of electric buses then there are not so many but the countable ones and that is too valid. Electronic vehicles do not consume any fuel so it does not pollute the surroundings simultaneously they do not make much noise which is also a good thing.
However, it has not been confirmed what will happen with those buses (fuel ones) that are already on the roads and it is yet to be announced if those buses shall disappear from the way or will work together with the e-ones. So, much info on this is yet to come so stay in the loop with us to get all the latest updates on the automobile industry. Well, ending this we would like to ask you one thing, what do you think, will new buses bring employment? Comment down and share your valuable thoughts with us.
