All these three cars will be sedans; Ola will be following a minimalist yet futuristic design.
Ola released the teasers of its upcoming electric cars in greater detail on Sunday, giving us a hint of what to expect regarding the design language for their four-wheeler project. The production of this project will commence by the end of 2023.
OLA ELECTRIC CARS ARE LIKELY TO HAVE FUTURISTIC DESIGNS
Much like the Ola S1 and S1 Pro scooters, it looks like Ola will be following a minimalist but a futuristic design for their upcoming electric vehicles, all of which will be sedans.
The first car that was previewed has a low bonnet and headlights with a wraparound effect. The rear portions hint at a stubby boot with Kia EV6-like full-length tail lights.
The second car also has a wraparound effect for the front lights, but it features twin units for the headlamps and front bumpers that are aggressively styled.
The third car features a single bar for the front lights and a different design for the tail lamp lights. Other teaser images are shown as sedans with a decent roofline.
OLA ELECTRIC CARS: PRODUCTION, BATTERY AND PRICE
Ola has not revealed any other details about the upcoming electric sedans; moreover, we can confirm from some sources that Ola’s first electric car will get a large battery; 70-80kWh in capacity and, as a result, it will have a long range. It will remain to be seen if Ola would use the same battery pack for their other models.
The source tells us that the production of the first electric vehicle is scheduled to commence at the end of 2023. The bigger battery pack and its positioning as a ‘large sedan’ mean that the Ola electric sedan is unlikely to be cheap, and we expect prices to be around Rs 25 Lakh.
