New Mahindra XUV400 EV India

Mahindra is all set to make its venture in the Indian personal electric passenger vehicle (PV) space with the all-new Mahindra XUV400 EV. The new Mahindra XUV400 is basically an electric derived from the Mahindra XUV300 subcompact SUV but is likely to have a superior footprint. Yes! The new Mahindra XUV400 EV is predictable to be longer than four meters and likely more spacious indoors, offering better legroom and boot space than its petrol- or diesel-powered version. EV cars don’t attract any tax benefit for measuring less than four-meter in length.

Expected Price

The Mahindra XUV400 is predictable to be situated between the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV, and we anticipate the ex-showroom prices to begin at approximately Rs. 14.80 lakh.

Design & Features

The latest teaser of the Mahindra XUV400 EV gives an excellent idea of its front-end design. As EVs don’t need a traditional framework, the XUV400 gets a new insert returning the radiator framework, with ‘X’ designs marked on it. Mahindra’s new twin-peaks logo takes center stage while the framework is bordered by LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs) which have been borrowed from the XUV300. Now in terms of creature comforts, we look forward to being the same as the XUV300 offering features like auto climate control, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and drive modes, among others. That said, we expect it to get a few more features, like the AdrenoX connected car tech, a digital instrument console, and a more extensive touchscreen infotainment system.

The new Mahindra XUV400 will likely get a solo synchronous electric motor powering its front wheels. The EV is predictable to belt out around 130 bhp and 280 Nm of peak torque. The Mahindra XUV400 will likely be launched with two lithium-ion battery pack options. The higher variant featuring the superior battery pack is estimated to deliver around 450 km drive range on a single charge.
