Congratulations to Ather Energy on Achieving 50,000 Production Milestones

Ather Energy rolled out its 50,000th electric scooter on Tuesday, where the last 10,000 units were manufactured just in the last two months. Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ather Energy, Tarun Mehta, took to Twitter to share the news. According to the tweet, it took Ather 35 months to exhaust its first batch of 10,000 units, while the next 10,000 units rolled off the assembly line in just five months. The company has achieved the 30,000 production mark in another five months, while the next 10,000 units were collected in just three months, taking it to a total of 40,000. As already mentioned, the company took just two months to reach the production of 50,000 milestones from 40,000 units.

The constant increase in the production member also hints at the company receiving a good response in the market for its products. In July 2022, Ather Energy has sold 2,389 units witnessing a 24 per cent yearly growth. Ather Energy also updated its 450 Plus and 450 X electric scooters to have a larger battery, rearview mirrors, and larger tyres. It said that its production line was closed for two weeks to facilitate the transition to the new models, accounting for the decrease in sales.

The company is also looking to expand its retail footprint to three new markets in the upcoming months. Ather is available in 38 markets and has 45 experience centres. Ather Energy presently has two models on offer, the Ather 450 Plus and the Ather 450 X.
