Maruti Suzuki keeps on bringing new fuel options in some of its upgraded cars. Well, as you all know currently, the global car market is bringing e-vehicles to show their presence in the market and configuring more features in their electric cars. While, big companies like Lexus, BMW, Rolls Royce, and so on are bringing their electric-powered cars, Maruti Suzuki in India bringing factory fitted CNG option in one of the recently launched four vehicles. After CNG Brezza, Maruti is launching the CNG variant of its Baleno. Here we are talking about the features of the upcoming Baleno. So, let’s have a look at what else you will get in the new hatchback.

Recently, Maruti Suzuki announced to bring of the CNG fuel option in its SUV Brezza that was first launched as a diesel car, but back in 2020 the company switched to Petrol, and now keeping the rising price of petrol in sight, the car manufacturer introduced the factory fitted CNG option in Brezza. Now, Maruti Suzuki is bringing the same fuel option to Maruti’s Nexa chain. Maruti launched the fuel option in Baleno Too which makes it the first premium hatchback in its class that comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

Well, the important thing to look at, is the price difference. Well, as it is a company-fitted one so undoubtedly, the price would be high comparatively to the petrol one. You will get to see Rs. 95,000 difference between the price. Below is the table that will help you to understand it easily.

Baleno CNG Features & Price

Well, before talking about the specifications on the car, we would like to take your sight towards the price. So the Baleno CNG is priced at Rs 8.28 lakh and going up to Rs 9.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). You must be in the swim that Baleno is available in two trims, where one is Delta and another is Zeta. Where Delta Petrol trim is available at Rs 7.33 lakh, the CNG model for the same price is available at Rs 8.28 lakh. On the other side if you go for Zeta petrol trim so it is priced at Rs 8.26 lakh while the CNG one is priced at Rs 9.21 lakh.

Coming to the features of the car so, the Baleno CNG will have the same features as its petrol models have. The only difference you will see is, the milage can be vary as it is powered by CNG fuel. Well, the CNG baleno uses the same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, K12N engine. But one of the major difference that you will see is, torque and power. As the engine is fueled one, so, it produces 77.5hp and 98.5Nm as opposed to the 90hp and 113Nm of torque it produces in petrol guise. Talking about the cylinder capacity so it gets a 55-litre CNG tank in the boot.

Launch Date

Maruti Suzuki can launch the new Baleno CNG by the end of 2022 because no official announcement about the launch date is out so far. Talking about the color options so the car is available in Premium urban blue, Ray Blue, Premium Silver, Autumn Orange, Granite Grey, Fire Red, and Pearl Arctict White, reportedly.

Now, this part can be a disadvantage for the car because, baleno considered as as premium hatchback that has a large bootspace. But as there is a big CNG cylinder, therefore the bootspace is compromised. As far as mileage is concerned so Maruti Suzuki has promised that in Baleno CNG buyers will get 30.61km/kg mileage, that makes it quite attractive in the terms of saving fuel. So, apart from CNG option everything would be same in the car. Although, this variant is going to be a tough competitor of Toyota’s Glanza that has been promised by Toyota to come in the same variant.
